1. Is the Movie Archive monitored for content?
Yes. Please be advised that the Movie Archive is a moderated area. This means that videos are first reviewed by a moderator and screened for inappropriate content. For example, inappropriate content includes, but is not limited to, anything that is unlawful, threatening, libellous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, profane, or any other material that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under the law. Motorola reserves the right to disallow any messages that are determined to be inappropriate.
2. Can anyone submit a video to the Movie Archive?
Yes, anyone can submit a comment but you must register with us first. This helps us ensure good quality videos will be posted.
3. What type of videos can I post?
You can submit any kind of video as long as it is created by and original to you and does not infringe on any other persons rights and is not deemed offensive as described in Question 1. Please refer to the rules for the full terms and conditions of submitting a video. All videos will have the sound removed and adheres to the following the rules.
4. What file formats for the videos can I upload?
You can upload .mov, .avi, mpeg, .3Gpp
5. How long does it take for a submitted video comment to be posted?
Once submitted, your video will typically be posted within 72 hours.
6. How do I find my video in the Movie Archive once it's been posted?
Your video will be identified by your screen name. Videos in the Movie Archive are displayed by most recently added and most popular.
7. Can I forward my video in the Movie Archive to a friend?
The Movie Archive is a community site, and therefore while you cant send your video to a friend, you can forward your friend a link to the Movie Archive via the Tell a Friend link.
8. Can I delete/edit my video once it is posted?
No. Only Motorola can edit or remove videos once they are submitted to the site.
9. How long can my video be?
Your video can be up to 1 minute long and 15MB in filesize.
10. Am I going to get a confirmation if my video is posted or rejected?
Yes, you will receive an email letting you know that your video is live and you can come back and take a look and then tell your friends!
11. How is my privacy protected?
Submitting a video does require you to register to Motorolas database with your Name, Date of Birth and Email address. We will not share this information with any 3rd parties, but you will receive Motorolas monthly newsletter. Please refer to our Privacy Policy Statement if you have additional questions or concerns regarding your privacy.
